First Look at Predators (updated)

The SXSW (South by South West, for outsiders) Festival this year will give excited fans a chance to catch a first glimpse of Robert Rodriguez‘ Predators (hitting theaters July 7), the Nimrod Antal directed reboot of the franchise (which really needed one). The festival takes place from March 12 to 21, 2010, the preview will go down that Friday night on the 12th at 10:15pm at the Alamo Ritz Theater (Austin, TX, where the movie is being shot actually), followed by a Q&A. The Alamo by the way is pretty much one of the coolest theaters in the US of A. This preview will actually be shown directly after the theatrical premiere of KICK ASS, the new feature released by the Weinstein Company.

A bold new chapter in the Predator universe, Predators was shot on location under Rodriguez’s creative auspices at the filmmaker’s Austin-based Troublemaker Studios, and is directed by Nimród Antal. The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. In addition to Adrien Brody, the film stars Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and Laurence Fishburne. (SWSW.com)
